The Toronto Path is one of Canada's largest underground malls, and as it stands, it also serves as a expansive connecting infrastructure to several areas in Toronto. But if you've ever used the Toronto Path, you would know how confusing it is to navigate around it.
The main focus of the app was to serve as exploration tool for the massive space that is The Path. With that said, the app is catered towards tourists and regular users of the path - combining both navigation and exploration functions within the user experience of the app.
Below is the final design!
With the use of this app and using the communication and navigational capabilities of iBeacon, the user is able to navigate through The Path with ease; whilst receiving contextual area data - from discounts to interesting points of interests.
The app also allows you to search for places around the underground mall, and navigate to it with turn by turn directions to your destination.
